Our Australia Trip — Membership Terms & Conditions

These Membership Terms apply to purchases and use of Our Australia Trip memberships through ouraustraliatrip.memberful.com (Member Site). By joining, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

We are B.J Kachel & H.R Kachel trading as Our Australia Trip (ABN 13 870 702 931) (we, us, our).

2. Membership tiers and inclusions

We currently offer the following monthly memberships (AUD):

Campfire Crew — $9.90/month

Includes:

  • members-only podcast access (including replays);

  • member updates via the Member Site and email;

  • early access to selected product launches (when offered);

  • invitations to member events/camp-outs (ticketed separately).

Big Lap Insider — $24.90/month

Includes everything in Campfire Crew, plus:

  • monthly 2–5 page informational PDFs (as released);

  • access to our members-only travel map (Google My Maps) and updates;

  • monthly map update summaries (as released).

Inclusions may be delivered via:

  • posts/pages on the Member Site (Memberful);

  • emails (via Klaviyo);

  • unlisted YouTube links for livestream/podcast replays.

3. Billing, renewals, and payments

  • Memberships are billed monthly in AUD and renew automatically until cancelled.

  • You are charged immediately on sign-up, and then monthly on the same date (or nearest equivalent date where applicable).

  • Payments are processed via Stripe and/or PayPal.

  • If a payment fails, we may retry payment and/or suspend access until payment is successful.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time through your Memberful account settings.

If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of your current paid billing period, and you will not be charged again unless you rejoin.

5. Pausing

We do not currently offer membership pauses.

6. Refunds and your 7-day first-time member guarantee

Australian Consumer Law rights cannot be excluded. If there is a major failure with a service, you may have rights to remedies.

7-day first-time member guarantee

If this is your first time joining our membership, you may request a refund within 7 days of your first payment if:

  • you have genuinely tried the membership and feel it’s not for you; and

  • you contact us at gday@ouraustraliatrip.com within the 7-day window.

If approved, we will refund your first membership payment and cancel your membership.

Outside the guarantee

Outside of the 7-day first-time guarantee, membership fees are generally non-refundable for change of mind or unused time, except where required under law.

7. Access, back catalogue, and member-only materials

Unless stated otherwise, members may access the back catalogue of member posts/resources available on the Member Site while their membership is active.

Member-only materials (including PDFs, map links, replays, and posts) are provided for personal use only. You must not:

  • share, distribute, or repost member-only materials outside the membership;

  • upload member-only materials to public platforms or groups;

  • resell or commercialise any member content.

We may suspend or cancel memberships for breaches of these rules (see Section 10).

8. Memberful platform and availability

We use Memberful to deliver memberships. From time to time the platform may experience downtime. We will take reasonable steps to restore access, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Travel and safety disclaimer

Our content is general information based on our experience. Conditions change and we cannot guarantee current accuracy for every location, rule, permit, or road condition. You are responsible for verifying current requirements and conditions with relevant authorities and local sources before travelling or acting on advice.

10. Community standards and enforcement

We want a kind, respectful community. You must not engage in bullying, harassment, hate speech, spam, or illegal conduct in any member channels.

We reserve the right to remove content and/or suspend or terminate membership access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms or community rules.

If we terminate a membership due to a breach, refunds are not provided except where required by law.

11. Events and camp-outs

Member camp-outs and events are ticketed separately unless explicitly stated otherwise.

For events:

  • spots may be limited and allocated on a first-come basis;

  • you are responsible for your own safety, equipment, travel, and insurance;

  • you must follow instructions and safety requirements at the event;

  • we may require a separate event waiver or additional terms for specific events.

12. Changes to membership, benefits, and these Terms

We may update membership benefits, pricing, or these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change (for example, a significant change to inclusions or these Terms), we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email and/or on the Member Site) before changes take effect.

Australia’s unfair contract terms laws emphasise fairness and transparency in standard form agreements.

13. Governing law

These Membership Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
